Advocacy Services

Family Counseling Service of the Finger Lakes, Inc. is unique in that several specialized services are offered within one agency in addition to our Counseling Services. These services include the :

  • Domestic Violence Program (DVP)
    FCSFL’s Domestic Violence Program advocates are on site to assist with immediate needs and ongoing support. Co-located advocates are also at Ontario County Department of Social Services working collaboratively with the Child Protective Services (CPS) team to offer expertise in DV related matters and to provide immediate assistance to families who identify domestic violence within the home.

  • LGBTQ Program
    Family Counseling’s LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, queer or questioning) Program offers support and advocacy services to the LGBTQ community as well as community education, training and awareness to businesses, services providers, and schools throughout the Finger Lakes area.

  • Bilingual Family Services
    FCSFL’s Hispanic Bilingual Services Program provides translation, transportation, advocacy and support systems to Hispanic individuals and families who lack basic needs.

  • Domestic Violence Accountablity for Men
    The Domestic Violence Accountability Program (DVAP) provides education to perpetrators who have been convicted of a crime related to domestic violence. These services are provided at the Ontario County jail and referrals to the program come directly from the court and sanctions are given if compliance measures are not met.
